In accordance with Education Code Section 60119, the Board of Education of the Sierra Sands Unified School District will conduct a public hearing at its regular meeting of May 16, 2019, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Ridgecrest City Council Chambers, 100 West California Avenue. Assembly Bill 602 requires Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPAs) to submit an Annual Budget Plan and an Annual Service Plan that are adopted at a public hearing of the board. As required in Education Code Section 56205, together these plans must identify expected expenditures and include a description of services, the physical location of services, and must demonstrate that all individuals with exceptional needs have access to services and instruction appropriate to meet their needs as specified in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
